Mijn felicitaties !  LSD2 was geweldig. Ik heb zaterdag 6 workshops gevolgd, en heb me op geen enkel moment verveeld.

Ik was vooral weg van de Afro (ongelooflijk plezant) en de Tango (ik ga mijn uiterste best doen om mijn man te overhalen om met Tangolessen te beginnen). De lesgevers waren enorm sympathiek (Séverine en Marta waren ongelooflijk: amaai wat een klassedames), en zij hadden echt de capaciteit om het beste in de “leerlingen” naar boven te brengen

Kortom: het was echt mijn ding. Op naar volgende keer !

Bij deze proficiat voor LSD2, ik heb maar twee sessies kunnen meedoen (LA style Tango door Sami en Severine & Men Styling door Paul Baarn), maar voor mijn part zéér goed georganiseerd: de twee workshops waren van grote kwaliteit, de locatie was zeer praktisch (kastjes + danszalen), het volk was talrijk, en het betalingssysteem leek goed geregeld.

In ieder geval, chapeau, en ik moedig je nu al aan voor de organisatie van LSD3.

I took 3 workshops, Isolations, tango and  men’s styling.  All were
fantastic, but I have to say that Paul Baarn stands out as a truely
inspirational dancer.  What can I say?  The man has moves…

Gewoon om even te laten weten dat de workshops echt fun waren!
Ik kan alleen spreken over de workshops van afgelopen zondag, maar we hebben ons echt goed geamuseerd.
Bachata was leuk, reggeaton erg hot & steamy (en genant bij momenten, ontzettend goed voor de lachspieren ook! alleen de introductie kon al tellen: “reggeaton is not about flirting, but it goes way beyond that. It’s about… euhm… doing IT on the dancefloor” tja… daar sta je dan… waar is de dichtst bijzijnde deur HELP!!!) ;o) ; zouk was ook erg leuk! Zeer leerrijk!.

Hey Carl,

Voor mij was het de eerste LSD en ik vond het in elk geval een leuke belevenis. Het heeft mij weer meer zin gegeven in dansen in ‘t algemeen!

Heel leuke workshops, en de Cha Cha choreography in het kasteel vond ik schitterend ook al heb ik de helft gemist. Het deed mij echt terugdenken aan Jazz dance van vroeger. En Reggaeton zag er in elk geval ook tof uit (maar toen was ik “helping hand” dus ik heb maar eventjes gekeken).

Sévérine en Sammy zijn echt prachtige mensen en schitterende dansers, en dan vooral Sévérine! De Rueda vind ik heel tof om te doen, zou ik best meer willen doen.
Al bij al vond ik het heel geslaagd en kijk ik al uit naar LSD3. Chapeau voor de organisatie trouwens, heel goed gedaan allemaal!!

You asked some feedback from the lsd, well, I think that was amazing, I really enjoyed. Paul’s smooth salsa was the best I think but his men styling was also great, as the rueda from S&S. I’m afraid to learn his styling, I have to practise more than sleep..:))
But it was a real pleasure to participate in that lesson.
What I would make different next time, e.g. Sami’s men styling, what i think rather was shine, than styling. Take apart it was good, just I expected some ‘how-to’, not ‘what-to’…
Anyway, it was awesome, the organization, the teachers, the participants, so… Good Job!:)

As for Salsa Days, I really enjoyed everything I took part in these days!  And the workshops that I participated in on Sunday, were just great! I especially liked the Zouk style.  It was a new style for me and I liked the smoothness of this class and the instructors were great too! So thank You for organizing such a great event!!! As for the party, I realized that I know absolutely nothing about salsa and I felt quite beginner.  Usually it is not the case. Before that it has been so, that whereever I go, I can easily follow my partner and feel quite advanced still. But this Leuven salsa style is smth completely different, at least for me.  Firstly everybody is quite advanced and secondly, everybody is very confident in expressing themselves through dance. So playing with music and bending it in any way is a quality that everybody seems to possess here in Leuven. Also I saw many jazz-like element and the overall style is sharp and quick. I really enjoyed just watching people on the dance floor! And also there were so many nice guys, who had enough patience to teach me a thing or two despite the fact that I had no clue, what I was doing. All together I got a very strong impulse to start dancing again, learning salsa now and finding ways to develop my skills when I return to my home country.

- de sfeer
- de professionele, soms grappige, soms lieve, lesgevers
- dat je er altijd voor zorgde dat er danspartners genoeg waren
- de afwisseling tussen verschillende dansen en stijlen
- de goede timing van de workshops
- het leren kennen van nieuwe dansliefhebbers.
Minder tof:
te moeten kiezen tussen de workshops

Algemeen: woehoe, wat een fantastisch initiatief! Een heel weekend salsa! Een dikke bedankt aan de organisatie! Wanneer is de volgende? Weer een dikke pluim op de hoed van Leuvensalsa!

De workshops die ik gevolgd heb in detail: De meeste zijn als “zeer de moeite” te bestempelen, zou ik aanraden aan anderen en opnieuw nemen, achteraf gezien. Het algemeen gemiddelde laag zeer hoog qua dansplezier.

Absolute uitschieters waren Smooth Salsa en LA Tango.

Kasteel de Bunswyck: known in the salsa scene for the Sunday evening parties, this is a really nice setting (address: Tiensesteenweg 343, Heverlee). A ‘modern castle’ surrounded by a big park, equipped with good dance floor.
